momquest: a quest for moms

[ It's another day in Tokyo-D, and the relentless cycle of content generation for the masses goes on; how long have you been filming this drama, exactly? And it's not that it's a bad show, per se, but the fact that it's really dedicated to showing the gritty realities of combat and using practical effects for it is... kind of a lot.

Also it can't decide if it wants to be a show about frenemies or about enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies. Cowards.

And besides, it's not home, is it?

It occurs to you on break at the really honestly lackluster buffet table set up for the actors and any surviving extras that... there's really not that much security on this show, all things considered, unless there's something you're not seeing... ]

He left the Heavens by his own choice, out of genuine belief that the highest god had failed in his obligation.

He would not wish to go back, and so—perhaps—he cannot. But I think he genuinely wanted to see if I could do it. And some part of him still found joy in knowing that someone truly could.

So... part of getting t'Heaven is really wanting to go there?

You haven't said how you got in.

Nero is right: I got in by wanting it.

Well, first, Cam good as dared me to do it. [ and obviously she can't just take that lying down. ]

So I prayed like I would in Creation: to the god who still protects my homeland. But instead of asking for fertile fields, I asked to see Yu-Shan.

You prayed to a god and it worked?!

You're sure it was your own gods that answered?

The remarkable thing isn't that it worked, but that the prayer song could be heard even from the lands of hell.

I know I don't have any way to truly confirm it was the River God, but there is no other god still living who I could so genuinely strengthen with prayer.
